Anna Estep

Counselor - Camp Greenwood Lake - 2022, 2024

A recent Chicago Waldorf School graduate, Anna has attended the camps every summer since she was twelve years old and has participated in both the East Coast and Midwest youth conferences. She cherishes the memories from her time as a children's camp counselor in 2022 and is excited to return to Camp Greenwood Lake this summer as both a counselor and the camp's lifeguard. As the built-in "second mom" to her four younger siblings, Anna has extensive experience with children of all ages and knows what it means to care for and nurture them.

Anna is currently taking a gap year, volunteering at a Camphill community in the UK. Her capstone senior project focused on sustainable design through biomimicry, reflecting her deep interest in environmental studies and the natural world, which she plans to pursue in college.

The camp holds a special place in Anna's heart, and she looks forward to reuniting with lifelong friends; singing beloved camp songs morning, noon, and night; gathering around the campfire in the evenings; and connecting with new people every year.
